Shift: 4 - 10's Monday through Thursday 7-5:30Possibility for hybrid schedule Reliability Engineer Description: Job Description This is a contract position that is discipline-specific (Mechanical, Instrument, and Electrical) and has a long-term and strategic focus.It is responsible to drive reliability performance using the most appropriate and effective tools and techniques. This position provides technical support to Production and Maintenance personnel and leads or participates in Root Cause Failure Analyses and monitors KPI data for early identification and resolution of reliability issues. Responsibilities:Apply appropriate reliability tools to drive improvements, optimize costs, and improve AE (i.e., Bad Actor Program, FMEA, RBI, RBM, RCM, Reliability Roadmap, etc.Ensures development and sustenance of Critical Equipment listMonitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics for proactive identification and resolution of reliability issuesLead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFAs) and corrective actions for complex and/or repetitive problems.Lead the Bad Actor Program and create action plans for improving reliabilityProvide technical support to maintenance Supervisor, specialist, and crafts on difficult equipment repair problemsProvide Tier 2 troubleshooting support and recommendations to operating units on equipment reliability including emergency work reviewsParticipate in the Bad Actor Program and create action plans for improving reliabilityAssist in the training and development of operation and maintenance resourcesEstablish, monitor, and optimize Preventative Maintenance and Predictive Maintenance Plans Develop disciplined and systematic equipment Maintenance strategy based upon business needsIdentify and implement best practices across siteInterpret codes, regulations, and standardsEvaluate new technologiesEvaluate alternatives for equipment repair seeking cost and time advantagesSupport capital projects by supplying engineering expertise in the specification, design, and construction of capital projects in accordance with plant design requirements as well as regulatory and BASF standards.This includes (but not limited to):Equipment selection/layoutScope developmentSpare parts determinationSupport with technical Bid analysis and bonus/malus reviewsSupport installation, commissioning, and startup activitiesRequirement:MBA or BS of Mechanical Engineering degree or similar disciplinePreferred Manufacturing or Chemical or Automotive Industry background.
