Your main role will include the following:

You assist in preparing patients for a visit at the clinic by calling and making sure they understand what to bring and what will happen at the appointment

You will help track both visit and medication adherence. These are tracked in a database, so you will be entering this information as it happens along the way.

Additionally, you will help with a referral process if the patient needs additional medical attention.

This is a chance to work with a psychiatric clinic that handles issues such as depression, mood disorders, ADHD, suicide ideation, and bipolar conditions. The main focus for this medical assistant is making sure patients keep their appointments and fill medications in a timely manner. Position Summary:Provides trained paramedical support in administering health care services.Position Key Accountabilities:

Directs the patient to the examination room.

Conducts the initial screening of occupational medicine patients which involves audiometric testing, keystone machine eye testing, electrocardiogram testing, vital signs, height and weight, spyrometer testing, and preparation of reporting forms.

Reviews patient health history through a personal interview with the patient.

Assists physicians with examinations.

Schedules patient appoints and tests.

Performs triage to determine patient needs.

Orders and stocks needed clinic supplies. Maintains and schedules repair of diagnostic testing equipment.

Relieves, as needed, the reception area.

Responds to emergency situations.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Certification/Skills:Use and care of standard clinic equipment. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certified.Minimum Education:High school diploma or equivalent.
