It offers 364 licensed beds, a NICU, an Advanced Wound Care Center, and a full complement of hospital services.HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast is affiliated with HCA Houston Healthcare, part of the HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast Division. The division is a comprehensive network of hospitals, outpatient surgery centers, emergency centers and diagnostic imaging facilities in greater Houston, Corpus Christi and South Texas. Facilities include: 17 hospitals, nine ambulatory care centers, 13 off-campus emergency centers, and a regional transfer center.

What you will do in this role:

To perform daily operations of the Medical Staff/Quality Management/Patient Safety Program(s) and be accountable for supporting the Facility Vice President of Quality and/or Medical Staff Services Director in providing an integrated framework for monitoring and evaluating quality of care.

To support the Officers of the Medical Staff and the Chairpersons of the Medical Staff Departments and Committees as pertinent to conducting Medical Staff affairs and as directed by the Medical Staff Office Manager.

Acts as an assistant to the Medical Staff Office Manager in the day-to-day operations of the Medical Staff Office.

Completes delegated responsibilities for the Medical Staff credentialing process in accordance with the Medical Staff Bylaws and regulatory agencies (i.e., The Joint Commission, CMS, etc.) requirements Education:

Business college preferred.

What qualification you will need:

CPCS or CPMSM preferred

Minimum of three (3) years recent medical secretarial experience

At least one (1) year credentialing experience preferred, hospital credentialing preferred.

Knowledge of credentialing and privileging and other aspects of Medical Staff Services.

PC Skills- demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Visual Cactus, and others as required

Excellent organizational skills.

Excellent writing and composition skills

Knowledge of medical terminology
