Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Metering Material Handler- 1st Shift. This role is based at our Sherman, TX facility on the 1st shift, and will support the Shipping/Receiving department. The regularly scheduled hours are Monday through Friday from 6:00 am - 2:30 pm. The rate for this position is $20.38. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Collecting order notes to fulfill deliveries
Picking out ordered items from storage shelves using barcodes, serial numbers, etc.
Securely shrink-wrapping items before placing them in boxes or on pallets
Operating handling equipment according to industrial safety regulations
Loading delivery vehicles
Updating stock inventory after each item is retrieved
Managing stock control, including item replenishment and storage
You will receive training on the use of power trucks and other powered material handling equipment (ex. walking crane or hoist).
You will perform 5S & Continuous Improvement activities.
Performing general warehouse duties as necessary
Qualifications:Basic Qualifications:
At least six (6) months of Forklift experience both stand-up and sit down required.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within a fifty-mile radius of the Sherman, TX facility will be considered
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong product knowledge.
Skills:
Ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally to frequently (33-66%) and up to 75 lbs. occasionally by stooping, reaching, bending with or without accommodation
Ability to follow directions, work independently, and have a close attention to detail
Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product
Ability to reach, grasp, and manipulate
Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays and up to 12 hours in a shift, as required by business need
Ability to stand for the duration of the shift (eight to twelve hours) and perform repetitious tasks
