Seeking a

Microsoft Exchange Administrator / IT Specialist to join the Information Technology Digital Workplace team in The Woodlands, Texas to support its Microsoft Exchange/Exchange Online messaging platform. The Digital Workplace team delivers and supports Microsoft 365 business solutions to accelerate digital transformation.

This role is Hybrid, with 2 days expected on site each week.

This role is a 6 month migration project.

Key Job Responsibilities:

We are looking for someone with MS Exchange 2016 and Exchange Online admin experience - preferably in a distributed, enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have been through at least one Exchange Online migration project. All the typical skills associated with Exchange administration will be needed (Active Directory, PowerShell Scripting, knowledge of Distribution Lists, Windows Server Administration, etc.) Additional skills in other M365 technologies are welcomed, but not required as this position will be focused on Exchange.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience supporting and maintaining Microsoft Exchange including on-premises and online/hybrid environments for large (10,000+ mailbox) environments
  • Strong Exchange PowerShell scripting experience
  • Excellent communications skills, including the ability to communicate advanced technical subjects to non-technical audiences
  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience migrating from Exchange on-premises to Exchange Online
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Vault
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Compliance capabilities including Information Governance and Information Protection (Azure Information Protection, Records Management, Data Classification, Retention and Sensitivity Labeling, eDiscovery, and Legal Holds)
  • Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting Microsoft 365 Groups in a hybrid environment
  • Familiarity with Exchange dependencies on hybrid identity and attributes
  • Familiarity with identity security controls with Azure AD Conditional Access
