Job Title: Software Engineer I-IIJob DescriptionThe Software Engineer I-II role involves planning, designing, developing, and testing high-quality, innovative software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products. This position primarily focuses on backend development but may also include full-stack development. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of Java 17, be able to develop code, and write syntax within the platform.Responsibilities
Contribute to the full software development life cycle
Write maintainable, extensible, and tested code while complying with coding standards
Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility
Continuously integrate and deliver software components into a fully functional software system
Facilitate end-to-end user testing with customers
Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems
Essential Skills
4+ years of experience in software development
Experience in building streaming and batch data pipelines using Big Data technologies such as Spark, Flink, and Kinesis on large-scale unstructured data sets
AWS experience in developing applications for cloud platforms such as EC2, S3, EKS, and Lambda
Kubernetes experience for developing, deploying, and orchestrating micro-services
Experience developing applications within Docker containers
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
Expertise in multiple languages such as Java, Kotlin, or Scala
Proficiency in common Java frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, or similar, and any of the Java Persistence API and JDBC implementations
Understanding of concepts regarding security, privacy, and performance
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to train junior members in mastered domain knowledge
Largely autonomous, working on a day-to-day basis without supervision
Understanding of business systems, products, and/or technologies and the needs of the customer
Strong growth mindset and the ability to positively contribute to team and organizational culture
