Minister of Music (Bi-Vocational)

We are a Bible-based congregation with a heart for worship, community, and spiritual growth. Our music ministry blends gospel excellence with contemporary praise, creating a powerful atmosphere of worship that leads people into the presence of God.

We are seeking a Bi-Vocational Minister of Music who will provide spiritual and musical leadership to the praise and worship ministry. This person will lead a dynamic gospel-style praise team of seven singers and musicians, developing the team both spiritually and musically.

Primary Responsibilities

Lead, plan, and coordinate all worship services in collaboration with the Senior Pastor.

Direct and rehearse the praise team and musicians weekly; ensure musical excellence and spiritual unity.

Select and arrange gospel and contemporary songs that align with the church’s mission and sermon themes.

Mentor and disciple praise team members in worship lifestyle, teamwork, and spiritual growth.

Oversee sound, media, and music ministry volunteers to ensure smooth worship flow.

Manage scheduling, set lists, and communication for all services, including special events.

Coordinate with pastoral staff for special services (revivals, anniversaries, holiday worship).

Attend staff meetings and ministry events as requested.

Qualifications

A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a lifestyle reflecting Christian maturity.

Demonstrated ability to lead gospel-style praise and worship teams.

Skilled in vocal leadership and music arrangement.

Ability to work with diverse age groups and musical abilities.

Experience with contemporary worship software and sound systems preferred.

Strong organizational, communication, and team-building skills.

Previous experience in a similar church setting preferred.

Weekly Commitment

Approximately 10–15 hours per week (includes rehearsals, Sunday services, and preparation).
