Our DFW based client is a non-profit organization that has been around for over 50+ years. They are hiring a
Network Administrator. This company is a community leader in providing responsive, innovative educational solutions. Come work in a dynamic environment with colleagues all striving to give children the best learning experiences possible.The role is Full Time, Onsite Work Monday - Friday in Dallas, TX area Here’s how you will impact the company:- Manage equipment and fiber installation logistics, IP configuration management, and district escalations to ensure timely service installation and resolution to service disruptions.
- Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for successful execution of assigned projects.
- Manage the rollout of technology projects to participating LEAs or internal clients and provide ongoing support throughout the implementation.
- Manage all aspects of the Fiber Network Consortium, including coordination between fiber service provider, the client, and member consortium districts.
- Schedule and perform site visits at consortium member sites in conjunction with vendors and district representatives.
- Conduct field visits to gather information about technical needs, learn about programs and priorities, and communicate those to appropriate TDS personnel.
- Collaborate with team members in the revision and presentation of service offerings.
- Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security.
- Experience with Network administration, Operating Systems, servers, and one or more programming languages and database.
- College degree is preferred. Training (corporate, military, certificate) in lieu of college will be considered. Management and/or industry experience will be considered in lieu of college.
- Current MCSE, CCNA, VCP, Red Hat, SUSE, and / or other Linux certifications are preferred.
- Four or more years managing Windows and Linux Server platforms is preferred.
