Network Administrator/Desktop Support Engineer

Woodlands, TX (Onsite Day 1)

3-6+ Months Contract-to-Hire (Salary Conversion $85-90K) Network Administrator Qualifications & RequirementsQualifications & Skills:

Desktop Support Analyst Qualifications & Requirements
  • The Support Analyst is responsible for the overall technology needs of staff with roles essential to production operations.
  • Working on a team of 4 covering a 24x7 broadcast schedule the analyst provides priority response and resolution for all reported technology issues.
Responsibilities:
  • Rapid response and ownership of issues and requests reported by customers via telephone, email or support ticket
  • Triage and troubleshoot desktop, mobile and network connectivity issues
  • Document and report on all work performed on behalf of customers
  • Acquire, stage and deploy computers, printers, software, and peripherals (both new and refresh)
  • Maintain accurate inventory and support records
  • Work with service providers to expedite and resolve issues impacting productivity
  • Produce verbal and written status reports with emphasis on high-profile issues
  • Adhere to company and business unit policies and standards
  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external partners
  • Exercise discretion as appropriate
  • Proactively monitor, assess and address support requirements
  • Create system and support documentation as required
End User Support:
  • Provides end user workspace support including issue resolutions, asset deployment and configurations, upgrades/patches, new software installations and general Q&A across PC, Mac, Smartphones, Tablets, and Peripherals for users at Woodlands, TX
  • Manages and supports network infrastructure services for the location.
  • Partners with other technology teams across the organization and also with external IT partners to function as technical liaison to carry out implementation and resolution.
  • Organize and executes office moves and asset reallocations.
  • Performs OS imaging tasks and maintains standards for all platforms for studios.
  • Triage issues with production applications and hardware working closely with engineering group.
  • Provides services to multiple groups.
Services & Infrastructure Support & Maintenance:
  • Performs preventative maintenance on all systems and equipment in order to ensure optimum performance.
  • Partners with other technology teams - Engineering, Infrastructure teams from Bristol in planning for the system infrastructure, participates in evaluating new technologies, in researching network and system configurations for future implementation.
  • Engage with clients to establish the requirements/needs, design & present the solution and propose/execute the procurement/install/commission/test/train plan for the facility.
  • Works with the leadership to execute Asset Management / Procurement across the board for production groups
  • Manage and Service Productivity machine throughout studios as well as DMED assets
  • Provide support for Engineering team as second tier support for production assets.
  • Ensures all security vulnerability points communicated across IT are addressed with patches and updates.
  • Manages and implements local printing services for production workflows.
  • Responds to system/network outages, malfunctions and related technical problems and conduct diagnostic testing, and participate or collaborate with other teams in identifying/resolving the problems.
