The Network Architect will work closely with the IT team, to coordinate and help facilitate compliance of various industry standard compliance efforts. This position will also require participation in projects regarding security audits and compliance, implementing server and network best practices, and will also require assisting with partner company audits as well. Leading and assisting with document design and development, review, and submission will be required. Role and Responsibilities: Assist with security compliance by developing design diagrams that include network data flow diagrams such as: high level network layout topology diagrams, low level detailed design network topology diagrams, network segmentation and traffic pattern, data flow diagrams, Interfacing vendors and partners connection and data flow diagrams. Participate in security compliance across the whole environment, providing recommendations, insight, audits and remediation plan for various hardware components. Collect various reports from different hardware as needed Provide various supporting documentation from network hardware such as, Fortinet, Cisco and Tipping Point. Develop, maintain, audit and present the collection of various logs, configurations, and OS snapshots from various hardware platforms. Format and present the data in a form sufficient for security assessments. Provide supporting documentation for various server roles. Server hardware consists of Client and Dell. Advocate and enforce security recommendations based on configurations currently in use. Auditing tools consist of the following vendors: Paessler PRTG, Auvik, Tenable, Connectwise, ManageEngine Service Desk, Solarwinds, and Thirdwall. Develop and publish compliance documents as needed for various compliance efforts. Participate as a member of an audit team that provides security review, insight and implementation of production systems and applications within the network environment. Collect and analyze appropriate system configurations. logs, and snapshots for historical documentation. Identify and document uncollected network configurations, logs, and snapshots on newly implemented hardware. Collect and Provide configuration information from Edge/Perimeter, Core, and Access devices within the network. Provide supporting documentation to validate compliance with industry standards and best practices Deliverables:

  • The Network Architect needs to have design, implementation, and network auditing experience.
  • An understanding of interconnecting architecture, understanding auditing procedures, configuration changes and upgrade recommendations will be required.
  • This environment currently is a hybrid environment of on-premises, AWS, Azure and geographically remote locations. Network hardware consists of Fortinet, Cisco and Tipping Point. Server hardware consists of Client and DELL.
  • Auditing tools consist of the following vendors: Paessler PRTG, Auvik, Tenable, Connectwise, ManageEngine Servicedesk, Solarwinds, and Thirdwall. Backup solutions consist of the following vendors: Veeam, Veritas, and Microsoft.
  • Responsible for assembling configurations, providing network diagrams of high and low-level network architecture, providing server configration and design documentation and interacting with and auditing various network hardware components that support the production environment.
Additiional Qualifications and Experience: Hands-on experience in the following is a plus: Security Audit: PCI, SOC etc. Need a Network/Engineer Architect with must have knowledge and experience in: Network Hardware: Fortinet, Cisco and Tipping Point. Auditing tools: Paessler PRTG, Auvik, Tenable, Connectwise, ManageEngine Service Desk, Solarwinds, and Thirdwall. Backup solutions: Veeam, Veritas, and Microsoft.
