Description We are looking for a Network Engineer to join our team in the Professional Services industry, located in Dallas, Texas. This role offers a contract employment opportunity and focuses on providing support for all networking, routing, switching, and firewall products within our environment. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for producing and maintaining technical documentation of the infrastructure ecosystem and applying a broad knowledge of advanced networking maintenance and hygiene activities to complete assignments.POSITION: NETWORK ENGINEERLOCATION: DALLAS, TXDURATION: 6 MONTH CONTRACT with extensionsRATE: $65-70/HR RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop deep expertise in the Fortinet platform

Implement Fortinet products across an on-premises landscape in a geographically dispersed organization

Create and publish reference architectures and run books for the network and firewall landscape

Coach and train team members on Fortinet technologies to enhance their skills.

Utilize automation for deployments and configuration consistency with FortiManager and other Fortinet tools

Manage software and hardware life cycles effectively

Contribute to monitoring and supporting network and firewall environments

Requirements

Fortinet Certified Professional accreditation

A minimum of 7+ years in networking roles with a specific focus on Fortinet

5+ years of hands-on experience with Next Generation Firewalls

Expertise in FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, and FortiMonitor platforms

Proficiency in automation for deploying configurations and software

A strong grasp of Routing, Switching, VPN, LAN, WAN, Network Security, Intrusion Detection

A solid understanding of key technologies and protocols such as BGP, OSPF, RADIUS, PKI, IKE, Certificates, L2TP, IPSec, 802.1Q, MD5, SSH, SSL, SHA1, DES, and 3DES

Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration within global teams and with senior management for strategic and operational initiatives

Excellent documentation, technical writing, and presentation skills

Experience in an Operation Technology and regulated environments is highly desirable
