Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a skilled Network Engineer in Houston, Texas. The chosen candidate will be instrumental in digitizing our retail outlets by working with IT systems, fuel dispensers, and network topology and design. You will also be focusing on SaaS solutions and will be expected to travel to different store locations for rollouts. This job will be based in an office setting, with flexible hours offered when not travelling.Responsibilities: Digitizing retail outlets by integrating IT systems Working closely with fuel dispensers and ensuring their smooth operation Designing and implementing network topology in our retail stores Utilizing SaaS solutions for efficient connection of ERP into the store Overseeing corporate infrastructure and assisting stores in transitioning away from on-prem servers Managing day-to-day store operations with the help of an MSP Implementing and managing site-to-site VPN Utilizing PaaS or SaaS and app experience for problem-solving Travelling between stores for rollouts, potentially involving air travel Utilizing skills in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, Cisco Routers, Cisco Technologies, AB Testing, Backup Technologies, Computer Hardware, Configuration Management, Datacenter for efficient store operations. Requirements Proficiency in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) is essential. Must have experience with Checkpoint. Expertise in Cisco ASA required. Familiarity with Cisco Routers is necessary. Must demonstrate deep understanding of Cisco Technologies. Experience with AB Testing is beneficial. Knowledge of Backup Technologies is needed. Ability to work with Computer Hardware is a must. Skilled in Configuration Management. Experience working in Datacenters required.
