We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced
Network Security Analyst in support of a great client located in Austin, TX. Telework will be authorized at the client’s discretion. As a Network Security Analyst, you will implement security measures using the NIST Risk Management Framework and Texas security frameworks for information systems and infrastructures. The ideal candidate will be expected to work under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Your roles and responsibilities may include, but not be limited to the following:- Coordinating the implementation of system security plans with agency personnel and outside vendors.
- Conferring with users to discuss issues such as account permission and data access needs, security violations, and programming changes.
- Advising management and users regarding security configurations and procedures.
- Developing and recommending plans to safeguard information systems from accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure and to meet emergency data processing needs.
- Participating in the development of information technology disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Performing and reviews technical risk assessments and reviews of new and existing applications and systems, including data center physical security and environment.
- Researching, evaluating, and recommending systems and procedures for the prevention, detection, containment, and correction of data security breaches.
- Performing related work as assigned.
- 4 yrs. experience in common information security management frameworks such as the NIST Risk Management Framework, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and Texas Information Security Standards
- Minimum of a Security + or equivalent certification(s)
- Texas Resident
- 2 yrs. experience/knowledge of common information security management frameworks such as the NIST Risk Management Framework, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS), and Texas Information Security Standards
- 2 yrs. experience/knowledge of information security practices, procedures, and regulations.
