Network Technician

We are looking for

• Handling incidents and Service requests.
• Restarting / rebooting equipment.
• Perform basic troubleshooting like ping, DNS lookup, and trace route on Network Devices.
• Perform visual checks for hardware failure lights or console error messages,power status and hardware labels wherever.
• Patching cable installation and troubleshooting.
• Installing power leads.
• Updating knowledge base.
• Escorting third party vendors wherever the contractor is supplying support.
• Conducting walkthroughs, Floor sweeping and physical verification of connectivity.
• Attending Safety training and reporting incidents.
• Console into network devices, including routers, switches, gateways, radios.
• Identify a switch port location.
• Identify WAP connectivity status.
• Basic Copper Cable troubleshooting.
• Basic Fiber Optic Troubleshooting.
• Install, remove, or swap equipment.
• Effectively manage the work queue.
• Adhere to Company change management and BCP/DR Procedures.
• Perform MACD (move, add, change, delete) activities for end user LAN and voice devices.
• Provide a daily report of activities.

• Overall 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Basic knowledge of Cisco Switch, Routers, etc.
• Worked in Enterprise Environment with Service Level Agreement.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to travel within the US on a need basis.
• Willing to work in a 24x7 shift schedule.
• Must be willing to learn quickly, adapt, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and conversation skills (Verbal and Written).
• Good documentation skills.
