OverviewPerforms general facility maintenance. Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors and conveyor systems, in addition performs general nursery work.Here’s what you’ll do:Troubleshoots and repairs basic nursery equipment.Adjusts functional parts of equipment and control devices.Repairs or replaces defective parts.Part sourcing: electronic, etc.Performs preventative maintenanceHandyman duties: plumbing, electrical, electronics and other building maintenanceInspects equipment for all defects. Informs supervisor if any defects are found.Efficiently operates electronic devices such as iPads and computers.Safely operates large equipment such as: forklift, boom lifts, and other maintenance equipmentAssist with training in job responsibilities and safety procedures.Preparing and packing trees for field delivery (loading/unloading)Cleaning equipment and facilitiesMaintaining and repair irrigation systemPerforms all tasks in a safe manner. Required to wear all safety gear assigned and asks for instructions when unfamiliar or lacking knowledge of proper safety proceduresBe a self-motivated and flexible team player with a strong work ethic.Perform other responsibilities related to farming or as directed by supervisorMay be required to make repairs on farming chemical equipment
