This role involves working with application, network, and security teams to optimize traffic flow, maintain high availability, and ensure the security and performance of application delivery networks. The engineer will handle advanced troubleshooting, design scalable solutions, and mentor junior engineers. As a senior technical member, the Level 3 engineer will also drive automation efforts and contribute to large-scale infrastructure projects.Required Qualifications:

7+ years of experience working with F5 load balancing technologies, specifically BIG-IP modules (LTM, GTM, ASM, APM, AFM).

5+ years of experience in configuring and managing load balancers, including traffic management and optimization.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience in diagnosing complex load balancing issues, network traffic flow, and application performance problems.

Experience with iRules scripting, SSL offloading, and load balancing methodologies (Layer 4 and Layer 7).

Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, SSL) and related infrastructure.

Experience working with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar.

Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including application, security, and network teams.

Excellent communication skills for technical documentation, reporting, and stakeholder interaction.

Experience with cloud-based load balancing solutions (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Knowledge of application delivery firewalling, WAN optimization, and advanced network security concepts.

Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, SolarWinds, or Splunk.

F5 certifications are highly preferred.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience).

Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:$118,450.00 - $236,900.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
