We are looking for an Oracle Database Architect for a long-term contract opportunity with our Austin, TX client. You will work with application developers and will be responsible for creating, tuning, and maintaining Oracle databases for public and internal PeopleSoft PeopleTools applications. You will perform highly advanced analytical work in the support of Treasury applications, as well as provide technical expertise to the team. The Candidate will provide feedback and contribute expertise to improve applications and development processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, implement, and administer Oracle databases for the PeopleSoft Enterprise application information systems.
  • Ensure operating success and performance, as well as provide technical expertise and support to the PS/Oracle Treasury infrastructure and application databases.
  • Manage and monitor databases and associated technologies; provide input into the evaluation and recommendation of strategies, technologies, and standards for all related infrastructures.
  • Perform database tuning and database problem resolution as necessary.
  • Work with a team to evaluate business needs, analyze processes, and ensure system documentation reflects current state.
  • Provide system expertise and functional/technical support to other team members by identifying problems and propose innovative solutions.
  • Work with Treasury technical and functional resources effectively by communicating complex concepts clearly, accurately, and effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Proactively monitor Oracle database patches, fixes, and other relative Oracle applicable research.
  • Participate in project management, coordination, planning, and scheduling.

You:
  • 7+ years experience in providing Oracle database administration including Oracle 12c or higher, including installation, upgrades and patching
  • 7+ years experience designing, creating and maintaining Oracle databases, creating and tuning complex SQL, stored procedures, views, triggers, and monitoring and analyzing databases performance
  • 7+ years experience in data integration, data quality, multi-dimensional design and database processes and methodology
  • 5+ years experience in designer SQL and shell script development
  • 5+ years experience using databases tools like TOAD
  • 5+ years solid knowledge of relational database architecture and concepts
  • 5+ years experience in development of highly complex application security requirements
  • 5+ years experience in designing and supporting systems adhering to information protection and security standards
  • 5+ years experience with installing and configuring PeopleSoft infrastructure components that includes but are not limited to: Weblogic, Tuxedo, Application Server, Process Scheduler, and PIA.
  • 3+ years experience with Texas CPA Treasury systems (Treasury Application, WWIC Portal, Texnet, FIS, IPPS)
  • 3+ years experience with serving a in a DBA position on at least one full lifecycle implementation of Peoplesoft
  • 2+ years experience in MS Office products, including TEAMs, Visio, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, C, Javascript, Perl, jQuery, Exadata, and UNIX is a plus
  • Experience with Oracle Forms is a plus
  • Experience with complex SQL queries, reports, and data extracts from Oracle DBMS is a plus
  • Experience with PeopleSoft database administration, including PeopleCode, Data Mover Scripts and Application is a plus
  • Experience with PeopleSoft implementations, installations, and/or upgrades preferred.
  • Experience working effectively across multiple groups and functional areas (including leveraging resources by working with SMEs where security processes are concerned is preferred.
  • Experience establishing, documenting and communicating standards, best practices, fixes, and providing direction/recommendations is preferred
  • Experience with Oracle Real Application Cluster environments, Oracle Enterprise Manager and Oracle Cloud is preferred
  • Strong database architecture, engineering, and design skills preferred
  • Experience with installing and configuring PeopleSoft infrastructure components is preferred
  • Experience working with PeopleSoft Treasury 9.2 and PeopleTools 8.55 or above is preferred
  • Oracle OCP/OCM certifications preferred
