Title: OSP Engineer - IILocation: Houston, TXDuration: 12+ Months ContractJob Duties::· Looking for a Design Engineer· Have GIS· May travel for site survey and validation from time to time.· 80% will be from desk.· Understanding of Fiber Optic Design· Retrieving data from GIS system.· Take kmz file creating running line from existing network.· Assign fibers for those location.· Able to work with GIS, KMZ files and excel. Ideal Candidate:· Will have some network design experience. This is for Fiber optic supporting small cells, inbuilding solutions.· This is design engineer position (Not looking for an OSP inspector role or who do site visits or ROW resources)· Have experience in looking at network from desktop, looking at GIS, verifying, build and support new location.· looking at fiber charts. taking the high level design and give it to vendor, vendor reviews it and recommends change of design and then approve it.· Use tools GIS, KMZs.· Education: HS, military background is great.· Travel - minimal local only and will reimburse for mileage. will try to limit their travel to contractors.
