What you will do in this role:
- Collaborates with the ED Charge Nurse, ED staff, ED providers to ensures appropriate delivery of patient care for a group of patients according to policy and procedure and the standards of care
- Ensures appropriate delivery of patient care for a group of patients according to policy and procedure
- Evaluates outcomes of patient care, consults with other disciplines as required and documents the plan of care as necessary to ensure optimal service and care to hospital’s policies and procedures
- Provides appropriate, direct patient care in assigned area(s).
Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and at least three years’ related experience and/or training.
What qualifications you will need:- Completion of an accredited Paramedic training program.
- Hospital secretary experience is preferredCompletion of an accredited Paramedic training program.
- Paramedic by the Texas Department of Health.
- 1 year required hospital and/or field training.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and Certification.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Course and Certification.
