Paramedic - Emergency DepartmentFast-paced, high volume Emergency Department is looking for top skilled Paramedic. Is that you?Work location: Texas Health Kaufman, 850 Ed Hall Drive, Kaufman, TX 75142Work hours: Full Time 11am-11pm with rotating weekends.Here’s What You Need· High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required· 3 months paramedic experience or completion of a paramedic internship required, 1 year Paramedic experience in EMS or Fire Dept preferred· EMT-P - Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic required or· LP - Licensed Paramedic· ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 90 days of hire required and· BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and· PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 90 days of hire required and· CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (ED Only), within 60 days of hire requiredWhat You Will DoProvides Safe Patient Care Under Physician Delegation:· Administers IV fluid without additives, saline flush, IV antibiotics, all IV medications excluding controlled and RSI medications. ACLS drugs (including drips) using barcode medication verification (BMV) during medication administrations. All IM and oral medications excluding controlled drugs.
