Parts Dispatcher

Description/Job SummaryPerforms needed shipping and receiving tasks and assists with tasks in the parts warehouse. Responsibilities/DutiesESSENTIAL DUTIESEssential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Must be able to effectively and efficiently route drivers to destinations.

Runs paperwork needed to check in stock and special order parts every morning.

Separates special order parts.

Assists in receiving parts, letters, and packages for the dealership.

Assists in dispatching the parts delivery drivers.

Maintains the parts warehouse.

Loads and unloads delivery and freight trucks.

Logs incoming and outgoing items.

Required SkillsLANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and situations to clients and other employees of the organization. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
