Work environment: Resource Team

Work hours: PRN Rotating Shift including rotating weekends and holidays

Salary range: $15.00 - $23.85 per hour (based on relevant experience)

CNA - Certified Nurse Aide license or

RN Nursing student who has completed fundamentals orMilitary experience with medical training equivalent and

BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support

CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 60 days of hire.

Possesses organizational skills to function in a fast paced work environment

Positive interpersonal skills, and

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Nursing Students who do not complete course of study in nursing but having completed their Fundamentals Training and EMTs who do not formally retain their EMT status may continue in role if they have consistently demonstrated skills in their PCT position.After hire PCT CNA renewal is not a requirement of the role if the PCT has consistently demonstrated skills in their PCT position.ResponsibilitiesTexas Health Resources Patient Care Technicians are responsible for providing assistance to patients according to plan of care, collecting patient data, identifying and reporting significant findings to nurse, the delivery of patient care that promotes the safety and well-being of all patients, demonstrating excellent customer service while admitting, transferring or discharging as needed. You may also be responsible for some administrative tasks on an as-needed basis.In addition to the required qualifications, a successful PCT willprovide and revise patient activities of daily living based on patient/family preferences

enter orders into computer or manual systems

document accurately and appropriately

keep patient environment clean and maintains safe environment

use Professional Practice Model philosophy to work in partnership with patients, families, physicians, peers and all other disciplines

demonstrate adaptability and flexibility to changes in schedule and/or workload assignment necessary to meet changing needs of the individual patient or unit.
