Prevailing wages

Certified payroll related to documentation of contractors

Familiar with the Davis Bacon Act on payroll of contractors and subcontractors

Responsible for applying fringe benefits as well

ADP experience

Develops, implements, maintains, and reviews payroll transactions to ensure timely and accurate processing.

Ensures payroll procedures are compliant, efficient, and current.

Accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, promotions, and changes to pay rates.

Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.

Ensures compliance applicable laws and payroll tax obligations.

Leads and facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.

Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.

Prepare relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports.

Processes Certified Payroll Reports.

Sets up taxes for all states.

Sets up job wages for all jobs.

Supervise and coach payroll team.

Performs other duties as assigned.

With help from the payroll staff, will be processing approximately 1,100 people's payroll.

This payroll specialist will not have direct reports, but will oversee the payroll processes.

Skills & Qualifications:

Candidates must have 5+ years of payroll experience.

Candidates ideally are proficient in ADP Workforce Now and have recent experience in it.

Candidates must be proficient in excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP's).

Candidates must understand prevailing wages and how to process them.

Candidates must have experience with certified payroll from a contractor and subcontractor perspective.

Construction or Industrial experience HUGE plus have.
