OverviewThe Payroll Specialist will work as part of the Payroll team and will be primarily responsible for maintaining and processing all aspects of the biweekly payroll. This position works collaboratively with all departments and performs all payroll processing through ADP Vantage, the company’s current payroll provider. The successful payroll person must be able to use the payroll software accurately and efficiently to ensure that all company employees are paid correctly and in a timely manner.Responsibilities

Process payroll accurately and on time every pay period.

Provides related training and guidance to Office Managers and other staff as needed in area of expertise

Assist in reconciling payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed

Assist with projects as needed in order to remain compliant with Federal and State payroll laws and regulations

Qualifications

High School Diploma required

3+ years High Volume, Multi-state Payroll Processing

3+ years Food and Beverage Industry (tipping requirements/credits especially)

2+ years Handling Garnishments and Other Statutory deductions

3+ years Working with ADP products

Strong knowledge of payday laws by state

Strong knowledge of garnishment requirements, limitations, processing

Strong Excel skills – include vlookup and pivot tables

Flexibility to handle multiple locations and managers at the same time

Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding pay, ie. FLSA
