Description We are in search of a Payroll Specialist to join our team in Austin, Texas. As a part of our team, your primary role will be managing payroll systems, reconciling bills, and overseeing HR tasks, including onboarding. You will also be responsible for setting up benefits and dealing with audits. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Oversee the administration of end-of-year payroll preparation and management. Implement new benefit costs into systems and manage the import process. Coordinate with payroll platforms such as ADP and Paylocity for year-end closing tasks. Manage, set up, and maintain benefits systems effectively. Conduct thorough system audits to ensure accuracy and compliance. Assist in onboarding processes and recruitment functions. Communicate effectively with team members and provide training sessions as needed on payroll systems and benefits. Reconcile bills regularly and balance out accounts. Assist in the implementation and maintenance of new Paylocity features and other HR systems. Utilize accounting software systems and benefit functions to ensure efficient operation. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Payroll Specialist role or similar Proficiency with Accounting Software Systems Experience with ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now Familiarity with Ceridian, Dayforce, and Paylocity Demonstrated experience in 401k - RRSP Administration Knowledge of About Time software Proficiency in Accounting Functions and Auditing Experience in Benefit Functions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred Relevant certification, such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), is a plus Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
