We Are HiringPCT, Patient Care Technician - Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Title: Patient Care Technician, Dell Children's Blood and Cancer Center Hours: 7:00am to 5:30 pm, M-F (4 days/week with rotating day off) Location: Dell Children's Blood and Cancer Center, 4910 Mueller Boulevard, Suite 200, Austin 78723 Specialty: Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Travel: No Remote: No Summary: As an integral part of the Dell Children's Blood and Cancer Center, this position includes patient care responsibilities and tasks such as obtaining patient vital signs, exam room cleaning/turnover, stocking of supplies, transporting patients to/from procedure areas, and parent/visitor screening. Experience: Prefer pediatric hospital or clinic experience, but willing to train the right candidate. Soft Skills: Flexibility in work availability and ability to juggle multiple tasks in a busy environment is a plus. Bilingual strongly preferred. What You Will DoPerform basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision.Aid with movement and placement of patients.
Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
Document necessary records.
Keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintains medical equipment.
What You Will NeedLicensure / Certification / Registration:BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:High school diploma or GED required.
