Pharmacy Technician TraineeTexas Health Denton’s Pharmacy department is looking to help train a Pharmacy Tech. Is that you?Work location: Texas Health Denton 3000 N I-35 TX 76201Start date: April 8th, 2024Work hours: Full time (40hours)Fast paced and intense 7-week program, M-F, 8:00AM-4:30PM, 3 days out of the week are spent completing online material from the pharmacy site and 2 days out of the week are spent obtaining hands on experience in the pharmacy.After the program, your work schedule is based on the rotation, including weekends, holidays and on call, if applicable.Upon successful completion of the program, and passing the Pharmacy Tech Certification Board (PTCB) the Trainee will transition into a Pharmacy Technician role.Pre-hire Fees for the Program:· Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) Trainee Registration Fee: $55· Fingerprint Fee: $50Post Hire Fees:· Pharmacy Technician Certification Board Exam Fee: $129· Upgrade from Pharmacy Tech Trainee to Pharmacy Tech with TSBP Fee: $84Education· High School Diploma or Equivalent RequiredExperience· None requiredLicenses and Certifications· Pharmacy Technician Trainee Texas State Board of Pharmacy Upon Hire Required And· RPhT - Registered Pharmacy Technician 6 Months Required)What You Will Do· Timely and accurate preparation, delivery & storage of medications, including (when appropriate) the use of technology to do so.· Ensuring accuracy of one's own work as well as the maintenance of required competencies, and other documentation. Must reflect consistently departmental quality improvement and patient safety standards, programs and initiatives.· Ongoing professional development and growth which includes obtaining Registered Pharmacy Technician within 6 months of hire.· Communicate effectively, develop working relationships and role model teamwork· Manages own time and shares the responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs (including wastage).· Other duties as assignedAt Texas Health Denton we take seriously our mission to improve the health of those in our community.
