EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Minimum 1 year experience as a power system engineer or similar type role

  • Experience within the electric utility industry preferred

Preferred Skills

  • Power Systems Studies Tool such as PSS/E, PowerWorld, DigSilent GmbH, GE EMS

  • Experience in Python, Matlab, VB/VBA, SAS, R, Tableau

  • Experience in data querying, data analysis, coding and automation.

  • Knowledge of and hands on experience with Machine Learning
EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's Degree: Electrical Engineering or related field (Required)
  • or a combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge to a major in such fields is required
CERTIFICATION:
  • PE Professional Engineer (Preferred)
Work Location:
  • Required to be onsite in Taylor 2 days a week. Otherwise, may be flexible to work remotely from Texas Residence the other days in the week.

Technical skills
  • They are heavily using VBA and python in automation.
  • Electrical engineer background with power systems knowledge and experience.
  • Experienced in data analysis
  • Experience in VBA, python, Matlab, SAS.
  • they should be able to gather data, analyse, create reports and present reports / results of analysis to management. They need someone with good communication skills.
  • Experienced in Querying SQL oracle database, SQL access database for data analysis purposes.

Nice to have:Experience testing applications integrated with GE EMS. They can train candidates if that experience is not there.

Logistics information:
  • Two rounds - phone screen and video interview with a panel
  • most of their team goes onsite on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so require candidates who will be able to come onsite two days a week.
