We are looking for a qualified Manager like you to join our Texas Health family.Position HighlightsThe Practice Manager III is responsible for directing, supervising, and coordinating the daily administrative activities of both the clinical and non-clinical areas for multiple locations or a complex large practice such as one with ancillary services. Practices may have a higher level of complexity to include ancillary services, extended hours, and multiple locations. Practice Manager III may also have additional facility management responsibilities expanding beyond their practice. Manager may have some external client management responsibilities or other direct to employer programs. May be assigned to special projects, serve as mentors for new managers, and assist Director with staff development for onboarding practicesWork location: Fort Worth, TX

Work hours: Full Time (40 Hours); Day Shift; Monday – Friday, 08:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

You belong hereJob DutiesEffectively leads and develops a team of employees including hiring, training and development, salary recommendations, initiates process to terminate access when employees separate, etc. Responsible for employee performance management by completing performance appraisals and setting individual goals as outlined in policies and procedures. Effectively leads and develops a team of employees including hiring, training and development, salary recommendations, initiates process to terminate access when employees separate, etc. Responsible for employee performance management and setting individual goals as outlined in policies and procedures.Manages front office operations to maximize patient satisfaction, patient access, maintenance of medical records, verification of benefits, timely and accurate charge entry, collection of payments and customer service efforts. Supervises medical, nursing and clerical staff to ensure adequate coverage for quality patient care.Ensures that staff is current in competencies, assessments, licensure, certifications and other annual training.Monitors staff’s time and attendance consistent with THR policies. Monitors & provides recommendations for clinic budget, goals, and objectives.Assists clinic operations leadership to develop and implement performance goals and objectives as well as long-term planning.Coordinates scheduling of operations to ensure proper coverage of patient appointments and out-of-office calls.Ensures work environment complies with regulatory, licensure, compliance and accreditation requirements by monitoring the work setting on an ongoing basis to identify deficiencies, risk, and opportunities for improvement.Serves as the first point of contact for patient and external customer complaints. Responsible for investigating all complaints relating to practice operations and routes privacy and/or Compliance complaints/issues. Escalates reoccurring problems as needed. Responsible for providing necessary summary to clinic operation leadership for High Reliability.Acts as the liaison between the practice and Central Billing Office.Serves as a Medical Records Custodian. Reviews authorizations and 3rd party chart review requests for validity. Ensures required Protected Health Information disclosures are tracked.Reports all confirmed or suspected privacy breaches, patient complaints regarding privacy to the Entity Safety Officer or Compliance in timely manner. Enforces and monitors corrective action plans. Performs other duties as assigned.EducationH.S. Diploma or equivalent requiredAssociates degree in Business or healthcare related field preferredExperience3 years Medical practice management experience with Associate’s Degree required. Or 5 years Medical practice management experience without Associate’s Degree is requiredSkillsPossesses a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.Demonstrates good understanding of health insurance and medical costs, including coding. Proficient computer and EMR skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office suite applications such as Word and Excel.Demonstrated business and analytic/financial skills.Strong communication and organizational skillsProven experience in a customer service environment.Strong people management and development skills.Ability to shape communications to the needs of the audience.Knowledgeable of HIPAA, state and federal regulations governing confidentiality, release of information and record retention. Familiar with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) functionality, document imaging, and workflow.
