Position Summary Principal Application Support Engineer role will be responsible for leading technical support of the application. The role will be executing all aspects of the operating procedures/runbooks within a predefined shift pattern. This role is expected to work closely with the required development teams and our internal business clients to resolve technical support incidents where necessary and communicate with senior leadership.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Perform deep analysis to identify potential failure points and implement controls to mitigate future failures
  • Analyze application alert trends, providing business impact and analysis to teams while suggesting resolutions to minimize further occurrences
  • Review knowledge articles and runbooks with application development teams to confirm information is up to date.
  • Collaborate with Client Facing teams and other application stakeholders to provide answers to application issues and escalate to as needed.
  • Review and finalize response to requests for information.
  • Review Disaster Recovery scripts to be implemented in response to planned and unplanned outages, ensuring appropriate steps are documented.
  • Recommend automation to reduce the cost of ongoing application monitoring
  • Recommend enhanced reporting to support teams to allow better visibility into potential issues and future outages.
  • Facilitate internal review and validation of support and resiliency Non-Functional Requirements during the development phase of an application as part of Application Support Center of Excellence.
  • Ensure all cert renewals/service account password changes are handled in a timely manner and ensure production defects and minor enhancements completed.
  • Oversee the coordination of the pre-production/production application code deployments and end to end vendor application upgrade process.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 7 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred with master's or equivalent experience
