Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks a Principal Cyber Software Test Engineer or Senior Principal Cyber Software Test Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals located in San Antonio, TX. The candidate filling this role requires a broad array of knowledge and skills heavily focused on system test and evaluation, compliance to specification, and system troubleshooting working with a team that provides direct support at a customer site.Responsibilities include:Provide operations and sustainment for current and future platform baselines and associated continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline activities. Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 mission support to operational cyber systems. Tier 2: solve basic technical problems, investigate elevated issues, seek solutions related to the problem. Prioritize the support/troubleshooting processes and effectively manage system sustainment. Tier 3: expert level troubleshooting and in-depth analysis. Provide subject matter expertise in their fields and implement limited research and development of solutions to new, unknown or unforeseen issues. Design and develop courses of action, evaluating each COA in a test case environment, and implement the best solutions.Design, develop, and implement testing methods and equipment required for testing and evaluating in a cyber environment. Cyber Test analyses is performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal. Provides test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies other Cyber tests to be performed. Responsible for Cyber testing all customer samples and special tests. Maintain the continued operations of all production systems and support infrastructure. Perform technical tasks as prioritized by the customer and scheduled by the contractor technical leads. Work is performed following an agile process for planning and execution.This position may be filled at either the Principal or Senior Principal level based on the requirements below.Basic Qualifications:
  • Principal Level: Bachelor's degree in related field with 5 years of experience. Or, 3 years with a Master's degree. An additional 4 years of experience is required in lieu of a degree.
  • Senior Principal Level: Bachelor's degree in related field with 9 years of experience. Or, 7 years with a Master's degree. An additional 4 years of experience is required in lieu of a degree.
  • DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • DOD 8570 certification at or exceeding IASAE level 2 (CASP, CISSP, or CSSLP)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of software development
  • 4+ years of software test planning and execution
  • Advanced degree in a technical field
  • Active DoD TS/SCI clearance
  • Experience operating, maintaining, or designing cyber weapons systems
  • Systems administration or system configuration experience

Salary Range: $86,300 USD - $129,500 USD

Salary Range 2: $107,000 USD - $160,400 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
