DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced and strategic Data Architect to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping the organization's data strategy and infrastructure. The Data Architect will be responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of robust, scalable, and secure data architectures that support our business objectives and enable data-driven decision-making.Key job responsibilities Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to define and articulate data strategy and objectives aligned with business goals. Facilitate data governance and stewardship discussions, ensuring alignment on data policies, standards, and best practices. Establish data governance frameworks, data quality controls, and monitoring mechanisms to maintain data integrity and consistency. Conduct enterprise-wide data discovery and profiling to understand existing data sources, structures, and dependencies. Design and develop centralized data models, schemas, and data warehouse architectures that support business intelligence, analytics, and reporting requirements. Architect secure and efficient data integration pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and loading data from various sources, including Page0, entitlement models, and propensity models. Ensure data lineage and traceability across organization's data ecosystem. Implement data security measures, access controls, and authentication mechanisms to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance. Develop and implement data retention, archiving, disaster recovery, and business continuity policies and plans. Continuously monitor data quality, identify performance bottlenecks, and optimize data flows for efficient and reliable data delivery. Collaborate with business units and stakeholders to understand their data requirements, use cases, and analytical needs. Define requirements and specifications for data sources, models, and integrations related to Page0, entitlement models, propensity models, and other relevant initiatives. Design and architect end-to-end data solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical constraints. Work closely with data engineers, business intelligence engineers, and other data professionals to ensure seamless collaboration and alignment across the data ecosystem. Provide guidance, mentorship, and knowledge transfer to cross-functional teams on data architecture best practices and emerging technologies. Promote adoption of data-driven decision-making and foster a data-centric culture within the organization.About the teamAmazon Web Services (AWS) provides a scalable cloud computing platform to companies globally. Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent

Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences and at C-level, including training, workshops, publications

7+ years of technical specialist, design and architecture experience

5+ years of database (eg. SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kinesis) experience

3+ years of cloud based solution (AWS or equivalent), system, network and operating system experience

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of distributed systems design and implementation or equivalent

Knowledge of large scale automation and workflow management or equivalent

Knowledge of database design and implementation or equivalent

Knowledge of presentations and whiteboarding skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with internal and external executives, IT management, and developers

5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience

Knowledge of AWS services, market segments, customer base and industry verticals

Experience working with end user or developer communities

7+ years of consulting, design and implementation of serverless distributed solutions experience

7+ years of external or internal customer facing, complex and large scale project management experience

The base pay for this position ranges from $164,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $284,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
