Principal Engineering Program Manager- Digital Security and ResilienceDigital Security & Resilience (DSR) group is a division of Microsoft Security, Compliance, Identity and Management Engineering. DSR supports the company’s overall security mission by providing key security services that help protect systems, services, data and users. Our goal is to educate our employee population about the evolving threat landscape; including the motivations, tools, and techniques used by cyber attackers.We are looking for someone who is highly customer focused with the right combination of curiosity, technical aptitude, and communication skills to Join the Digital Security & Resilience (DSR) team as Principal Engineering Program Manager. You will put your creativity to work applying agile delivery practices to deliver state of the art security solutions. This position requires cross-organization collaboration, engaging with business stakeholders to identify requirements so that our team of engineers can deliver the right solution. This includes clarifying scope and objectives, tracking projects to delivery, and reporting progress. You will drive for results, learn to identify operational improvements, and contribute to a culture of customer service.Candidates should have experience delivering and coordinating high impacting security projects, including project planning (charter, milestones, timelines), defining use cases and requirements, identifying resource needs, and managing issues/risks. Candidates should be able to lead from behind to drive progress, balancing priorities across projects (business) and team member workloads (people). In addition, this position requires a self-starter who is ok making and learning from mistakes.Preferred work locations:Atlanta, GeorgiaAustin, TexasRedmond, WashingtonReston, VirginiaRemote in the U.S.ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities:Ability to work on a diverse team and with a diverse range of people

Work closely with the product team and communicate clear security requirements from security operations team

Gather requirements from engineers and partners to assist in service and solution designs

Communicate clearly and consistently with team members and manager

Track and report on projects to management and leadership

Keep your customer’s needs in mind throughout the project lifecycle

Build and maintain positive relationships with partner teams, creating opportunities to contribute to the success of others or leverage their efforts to achieve internal goals.

QualificationsRequired QualificationsKnowledge, experience and skills required:Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

5+ years as a security PM for a large enterprise-scale organization, delivering high impacting projects

5 + years of experience working with security and product teams

Experience documenting security requirements for security or product teams

Preferred, not required:Knowledge of a cloud computing environment such as Microsoft Azure would be an advantage.

CISSP or other security related certification

The ideal candidate will have experience in a highly collaborative team environment, Security Operations Center or equivalent experience in enterprise-scale services and platforms, technical depth in a highly dynamic, complex environment.Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer.
