Ideal candidate will have strong project management experience in facilities management and infrastructure projects; prefer experience with projects over $10 million; prefer project management experience with electrical infrastructure, Building Automation Systems or sustainability projects. Experience with hospital infrastructure a huge plus. Experience with state or municipal projects with state funding restrictions a plus. Engineering degree in an electrical or mechanical engineering field a plus.SUMMARYPlans, organizes and directs implementation of all phases of major construction projects. Impacts design and execution of complex Institutional construction projects.JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIESCoordinates project team representatives during design and execution project phases. Facilitates and coordinates the development of final contract construction documents. Responsible for bidding, negotiation and implementation of all contracts required to support the assigned project. Responsible for maintaining and monitoring the project budget. Manages, monitors and evaluates project control including, scheduling requirements, operational impact and resources allocation. Ensures compliance with all federal, state, local and UT System regulations regarding construction design and maintenance. Determines the most effective and efficient project delivery methods. Responsible for the design, execution and effectiveness of a system of internal controls. Responsible for all aspects of human resources. Other duties as assignedBachelors degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Science or related field. Seven years experience in project/construction management related activities, including project management, budgeting and documentation. Successful completion of the LEADing Self Accelerate and/or LEADing Self Discover programs may substitute for one year of required supervisory or management experience. Completion of both programs can be substituted for a maximum of two years of supervisory or management experience.
