Join the team if you like to build scalable solutions that solves complex business problems and deliver strong business impact.AFT is seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager (TPM) to manage the technical design, implementation, and execution of high visibility and impact programs at the heart of Amazon's physical operations. In this role, you will work across business and technical organizations to break down complex business requirements into manageable projects, design solutions to solve complex technical problems, balance business needs versus technical constraints, and ultimately drive successful execution in a timely and agile manner.The technically strong and passionate leader who joins us will be a key member of the AFT team. The ideal candidate brings hands-on industry experience working with warehouse management systems, Amazon Web Services and relational storage engines, and is well-versed in working across multiple partner teams to deliver complex technical solutions. As the Principal TPM, you will be responsible for scoping and delivering large initiatives. Responsibilities include collection of systems requirements from internal and external customers, writing specifications, driving project schedules from design to release, and managing the launch.

You will lead and coordinate design/implementation efforts between internal teams and outside merchants/vendors.

You will have a strong technical TPM background

You will thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial/ startup like environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities.

As a Principal TPM, you will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.

An ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner is expected.

Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role.

10+ years of engineering experience

7+ years of technical product or program management experience

5+ years of software development experience

Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience

The base pay for this position ranges from $159,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market.
