Product Engineer opportunity for you within our Process Systems & Solutions team! Based in our

Austin, TX area office, you will be part of a global team that provides top tier product support and consultation to customers using Emersons best in class DeltaV product. In addition, you will have opportunities to interact with many groups and locations within the Emerson organization, and have influence and impact on next generation products for future development.

As a Product Engineer, YOU WILL:
  • Work directly with customers, Emerson Technical Support offices or representatives, Global Service Centre (GSC) engineers and development engineers on technical solutions to DeltaV applications
  • Provide feedback to Technology regarding our end user requirements of DeltaV software based on the investigation of field issues
  • Travel (estimate 0-5 trips/year, typically a week or less per trip) to customer sites primarily in North America, potentially worldwide if desired
  • Develop the ability to generate close consultative long-term relationships with key Emerson customers in order to assist with their DeltaV support needs
  • Be an Austin, TX based member of the DeltaV Customer Support organization, with locations in Manila, Pune, Leicester, and Austin.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
  • Bachelors degree + 2 years of experience or Associates degree + 5 years of experience
  • Previous knowledge of DeltaV control systems and/or DeltaV peripheral products is required
  • Ability to work directly with the end user resolving system issues on a running process
  • Creative troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills - essential to support regular interfacing with customers and other departments within Emerson
  • Fluent English, both verbal and written
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
  • Engineering Degree is preferred
  • Experience working in DeltaV Batch is preferred. Additional experiences with Virtualization (Hyper-V, VMWare) and Cybersecurity topics would be desirable
  • Experience with Control Systems in production facilities is desirable
