Transnorm is a producer of conveyor equipment modules and solutions, used in airside baggage handling and screening systems, distribution and fulfilment centers in retail and post/parcel. Transnorm has built a valuable brand and has been a reliable partner for system integrators and end users for over 50 years. For our North American Operations in Arlington, Texas we are looking for an R&D Manufacturing Engineer.JOB SUMMARY: The R&D Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for research and development of new product offerings for the business unit, working with manufacturing to develop tooling and best practices, as well as providing sales and marketing support, of our existing products. Additional duties may include providing the production area of the organization with engineering and production support. All duties to be performed per documented procedures. SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Research and Development · Implement, research and develop design changes to improve the quality, maintainability, and cost of existing product lines. · Interface with manufacturing personnel to identify needed changes to products and engineering procedures. · Provide feedback to purchasing to improve the quality and performance of parts. · Working with Sales to interact with customers, to identify necessary changes to existing products. Meet with parent company, customer, and internal personnel to identify required specifications for new product development. · New product development includes the generation of drawings and daily interaction with the manufacturing personnel to develop product prototypes. Production For production support, provide the standard product information needed for product fabrication. This information includes generating: · Bills of Material · Shop drawings · Vendor drawings · Purchase order specifications for outside parts and materials · Customer drawing · Production engineering non-standard product information needed to meet customer specifications. Quality · Improve and/or develop engineering calculations / computer programs in order to increase the accuracy of Bills of Material, parts, etc. · Work with manufacturing and customers to identify any areas that need to be improved to increase quality be it through process or tooling improvements. YOU MUST HAVE Bachelors Degree in Engineering or other related technical degree

WE VALUE

· Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (or similar discipline) preferred

3+ years of experience within Material handling preferred

· 5+ years in a manufacturing engineering environment preferred

· SolidWorks experience

· AutoCAD experience

· Office Suite (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)

· Excellent written and oral communication skills

· Available for limited Domestic and International travel
