Our associates are responsible for performing a variety of duties, depending on their assigned department and lab needs.  Production techs help expedite job orders throughout the manufacturing process in a timely and efficient manner in order to serve our customers.Associates observe data on job orders, sort and organize jobs, utilize RF scanning and perform other department specific tasks.We have production positions available in our Surface and Inventory Departments.Surface duties include:Backside coating - making sure lens is clean, spraying, wiping lens and loading in machineBlocking and Deblocking, block prepMachine operation, taping, generating, polishingLens washing - removing lens from block, rinsing, washing and drying lens to remove debrisInventory duties include:Printing orders and prepping job traysPicking frames and lenses by locating the bin number on the Rx, scanning the barcode and tray and frameRemoving lenses from manufacturer's box, placing on the correct side of the tray for processingPre-inspecting lenses for visual imperfectionsEnsuring orders are sent to the correct departments within the labAssisting with restocking, inventory counts
