Eaton’s Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions (GEIS) division is currently seeking a Production Supervisor - 1st Shift. This role is based at the Houston, TX manufacturing site.The expected annual salary range for this role is $77249.97 - $113299.96 a year.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What you’ll do:Position Overview:The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing all aspects – Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, Employee Engagement and Empowerment, 5S, Tier meeting process, relentless focus on Lean & CI, Employee training and development - of manufacturing within assigned area to produce high quality products to serve our customers to their delight. The position will be responsible for collaborating with other functions such as HR, EHS, supply chain, manufacturing engineering, quality, and OpEx, to ensure operational success. This individual must be thoroughly skilled in continuous improvement tools and methods to sustain and improve efforts to eliminate waste. In this position, you will be accountable for the daily management of employees to strengthen desirable positive behaviors through servant leadership.In this function you will:

Direct operations within the assigned manufacturing process. Responsible for key performance measures relevant to EHS, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, Cost, and Earned hours goal for your department. You will manage your team performance through various motivational strategies such as performance recognition, coaching, development, discipline as appropriate.

Measure, communicate and improve group performance statistics and act as an agent to drive recovery and improvement activities that meet or exceed established goals.

Adhere to the policies and resolve team member concerns and issues. Staff, train, cross train, evaluate, develop, discipline, engage with your team members with the goal of achieving highly engaged, empowered, and high-performance team.

Partner with supply chain team to ensure raw material shortages are proactively addressed to support projected build requirements.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement and be relentless in driving towards becoming a lean organization to eliminate waste. Quickly master appropriate Eaton Lean System tools and CI tools, and implement them in your own daily / weekly / monthly standard work.

Assure that policies and procedures are followed to ensure consistency and compliance.

Work on projects as assigned by manager

Qualifications:Required (Basic) Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution

Minimum three (3) years of experience in a leadership role in a manufacturing, distribution or operations environment

No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates who currently reside within 50 miles of the Houston, TX facility will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on an on-going basis without sponsorship now and in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or Industrial Technology, or Business from an accredited institution

5+ years of experience in a leadership role in a manufacturing, distribution or operations environment preferred

SAP business system experiences a plus.

Experience in Electrical product manufacturing/Assembly, Machining, Sheet metal fabrication, welding, powder coat.

Strong supervisor skill set, including developing individuals, coaching, mentoring, disciplining, and building a team environment.

Self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision

Ability to lead cross-functional teams

Able to handle multiple, conflicting priorities with a “can do” attitude

Practitioner of lean principles

Expertise in manufacturing and distribution processes
