Responsible for all phases of the program, including budget recommendations, program selection, staff supervision, recommendations for future planning, and innovation.Description of Duties Coordinates program to ensure that implementation and prescribed activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives. Supervises and manages the day to day activities and personnel of the assigned program. Develops and supervises the implementation of multiple projects or programs. Participates in budget planning and is responsible for controlling expenditures in accordance with budget allocations for the program. Serves as the initial point of contact for prospective doctoral students, guiding them through the inquiry process and connecting them to the appropriate faculty or program coordinators for detailed program-specific information. Coordinates the various activities of graduate recruitment within the Graduate College. Develops frameworks and resources to assist faculty in promoting their doctoral programs and enhancing visibility within their respective fields. Organizes and facilitates recruitment events, information sessions, and webinars to attract prospective doctoral students. Coordinates logistics, prepares presentations and ensures successful execution. Organizes the logistics of faculty and students to represent the university at recruitment events, conferences, and graduate school fairs to promote doctoral programs. Coordinates with university departments and external partners to gather and disseminate promotional materials (e.g., brochures, online content) for the recruitment and promotion of doctoral programs. Ensures materials are accurate, up to date, and aligned with program goals. Cultivates relationships with faculty, prospective students, and external partners to promote the doctoral programs and ensure positive engagement throughout the recruitment process. Reviews program records and reports of activities and recommends modifications to methods or procedures as required. Drafts brochures, letters, agendas, and contracts. Develops frameworks and resources to assist faculty in promoting their doctoral programs and enhancing visibility within their respective fields. May attends meetings, conferences, and seminars related to the graduate college’s mission and goals. Represents the graduate college at recruitment events, conferences, and graduate school fairs to promote doctoral programs, including occasional out-of-town travel. Provides appropriate reports as required for the project or program. Provides ongoing staff development, on site demonstrations and field based experiences related to project or program. Three (3) years of experience performing closely related duties, including program planning/coordination or related experience in the appropriate field of the program, or

One (1) year of the required experience with a Master’s degree, or

Five (5) years of the required experience with an Associate Degree or 60 hours of College Credit, or

Seven (7) years of the required experience with a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Some travel and weekend work is required. UTRGV is a distributed institution, which requires presence at multiple locations throughout the Rio Grande Valley. Particular project or program may require ability to drive a car for local or distant travel for consultation, training, meetings, or on site demonstrations. Must be able to bend, stoop, reach and lift for retrieving/maintaining files and for setting up multimedia equipment. Must be able to move between buildings, offices and classrooms. UTRGV is a distributed institution, which may require presence at multiple locations throughout the Rio Grande Valley.OtherAbility to interact in a professional manner with faculty, staff, students and the public.
