- Design, code, test, and validate solutions for applying distributed tracing techniques to modern applications in a large scale environment
- Document and promote standards, guidelines, and best practices
- Provide customizations for development libraries or API's
- Address end user inquiries and gather functional requirements for solution enhancements
- Interface with global team of developers and engineers
- Operate in an Agile development environment using system development lifecycle methodologies
- Perform proof of concepts in new areas of development
- Strong development and coding background in Java and Python preferred (1-3 years required)
- Relevant experience working in large-scale, multi-tiered, enterprise Linux and Windows environments required
- Understanding of both traditional monolith and microservices architectures in a large scale environment
- Experience with open source tools, libraries implementations and customizations
- Familiarity with Frameworks such as Spring/Spring Boot, Maven or Gradle, a plus
- Experience operating with Jaegar or Zipkin client libraries, or other Open Telemetry instrumentation, a strong plus
- Background in Observability and Systems Monitoring, a plus
- Experience with source code management tools such as Bitbucket and Github, a plus
- Experience operating in an environment with automation pipeline tools such as Ansible and Jenkins, a plus
- Ability to adopt to working individually or as part of a team
- Manage and prioritize multiple work efforts and streams
- Adopt quickly to new technologies and system architectures
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to operate in a challenging, fast-paced, global environment
