We are looking for a QA Tester for a long-term contract opportunity with our client in Austin, TX and this can be done remote.

QA Engineer (interface Tester)Resource can work remotely and only w2 candidates. The client is looking for a QA with Manual testing and SQL background and if someone has a Automation testing tools is a plus.

Job Description:A functionally oriented Quality Assurance Analyst will support the design, documentation, testing, and implementation of the system, coordinating with the onsite and offsite teams to create a solution that satisfies our clients’ unique business needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate and collaborate with development, and testing teams throughout the design, development, testing, and implementation of a solution.
  • Perform functional analysis of the client’s current business process and supporting documentation.
  • Participate in meetings with client subject matter experts (SMEs) to elicit, clarify, and confirm business requirements.
  • Identify process improvements and facilitate re-engineering of business process.
  • Responsible for development of business analysis deliverables?
  • Prepare as-is activity diagrams and business process flowcharts.
  • Prepare design specification artifacts defining business rules, outbound communication, reports, and input / output files.
  • Facilitate design meetings with client team participants.
  • Conduct data setup, unit testing, integration testing, and system testing on the developed solution.
  • Prepare test cases for system testing and user acceptance testing.
  • Write SQL queries in Microsoft SQL Server to procure test data.
  • Write defect reports; quality assurance, providing objective feedback to software development project teams.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Management, Finance, or related field

  • Experience with SDLC methodologies specific to requirements elicitation and analysis, analyzing business processes, business process modeling, preparing business use cases, logical data modeling, and user interface design.
  • Strong facilitation skills and strong analytical/problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills are required, including the ability to communicate technical solutions to non-technical staff.

  • Ability to take business requirements, work with client business SME and Technical Analysts, make recommendations, and then translate into functional design, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping) and development specifications.
  • Ability to be proactive, stay on track driving toward timely completion of design deliverables.
  • Ability to interact and work well with client staff and team members
  • Support project teams during development and testing.
