QA Engineer

Position: QA Engineer

Responsibilities: The QA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our comprehensive frontline communications solutions, which are powered by our cutting-edge push-to-talk software; designing, implementing, and executing test plans and test cases to identify and report any defects or issues, in order to ensure seamless performance and optimal user experience; collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, such as developers and product managers, to drive continuous improvement and support the delivery of high-quality software solutions; developing and executing test plans and test cases to ensure software functionality and reliability; designing and implementing automated tests to augment manual testing efforts and improve overall testing efficiency; creating automated test scripts using Appium and PyCharm for Android and iOS applications; and fostering collaboration to achieve extensive test coverage and propose valuable software enhancements. Employee may split time between remote and in-office employment, reporting to headquarters in Austin, TX.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer and information technology, or related technical field (or foreign equivalent).

Requirements: Three (3) years of experience in the job offered, or related software engineering positions. Other special requirements include: two (2) years of experience testing complex communication or web-based and mobile applications; two (2) years of experience in test planning, test case development, and test execution in an Agile, Appium, or PyCharm environment; two (2) years of experience developing test automation frameworks and tools; and two (2) years of experience using test management tools and bug tracking systems, such as TestRail, Jira, or qTest, etc.
