Participates in the quality assurance (QA) activities of which may include requirements and design review. Executes test events (test plan, test scripts, schedule management, test report, test event). Debriefs team members on test results.

Job Responsibilities Works iteratively with the business, product and development team through all aspects of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including business requirements, functional specifications, integration and regression testing using current testing methodologies and tools. Identifies, logs, tracks and certifies software application problems. Develops, writes, revises, and verifies software test plans and strategies. Provides accurate and timely estimates for QA timelines and efforts to the QA team. Reviews and evaluates products and services for adherence to government directives, standards and guidelines concerning quality assurance. Performs risk analysis on system changes to plan test coverage. Performs gap analysis to identify areas missing test coverage.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study or equivalent relevant experience. 8 Years of relevent experience can be substituted for degree.

0-2 years of Information Technology experience in requirements development, programming, software testing, technical writing, customer call support (Help Desk) desired.

  • General understanding of software testing processes and methodologies
  • Familiarity with utilization of Test Plans
  • Ability to create comprehensive Test Scrips for validation of functional requirements
  • Ability to report daily activities to the team lead using given templates
  • Experience in customer support with strong conflict resolution skills
  • Knowledge of risk identification and risk management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as a proficiency in MS Suite; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work across multiple disciplines
  • Understanding of a development environment with defined processes.
  • A high level of initiative with the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Knowledge of CMMI, IEEE or other software development standards (Desired)
  • Familiarity with 508 compliance testing is a plus
