Quality Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:· Design, develop, and release fully automated, cloud-based services within Azure and Google Cloud.· Responsible for developing end-to-end automation for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) that is accessible to customers from a Service Catalog and CI/CD pipeline.· Resonsible for enabling a successful migration of on-prem infrastructure to Microsoft Azure and other public cloud providers.· Use of software development tools, practices, and processes to deliver solutions in an iterative manner.· Work closely with other teams to deliver high quality, integrated cloud solutions for internal customers.· Leverage knowledge and experience of cloud technologies such as Ansible Tower, Terraform, Jenkins, and Jira to provide end-to-end solutions.· Enhancing and maintaining hybrid cloud solution, which includes integration of on-prem cloud with Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform· Working knowledge of Agile and iterative development practices. Experience with Jira is a plus.· Responsible for collecting feedback and requirements from customers and implementing fixes and enhancements for automated services.· Ensure policies, procedures, and security is included within the development of all services.· Documentation for all changes, upgrades, maintenance, and procedures.· Perform QA and UAT responsibilities when needed for code deployments to ensure quality and stability in all releases.· Provide support for automated services developed by the team.· Adherence to change control and release processes and procedures.Qualifications:· BS/BA in Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent cloud development experience.· 5+ years of software development experience with a high-level language is required (such as Java, C, Python, Ruby, etc.).· 3+ years of hands-on experience with automation, orchestration, and development technologies like Ansible / Ansible Tower, Terraform, JavaScript, PowerShell, Restful API’s (JSON and XML). Experience using Ansible Tower is required.· Experience implementing and developing fully automated build and deployment processes using DevOps principles and CI/CD technologies.· Experience and proven history with automating services within private and public clouds (Microsoft Azure is required; other public cloud experience is a plus).· Solid understanding of networking and core Internet protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, and distributed networks).· Experienced and comfortable with Linux (RHEL 7 - 8, Centos) and Windows 2012 – 2019.· Strong communication and leadership skills with the demonstrated ability to lead and influence technical professionals across the enterprise.· Excellent oral and written skills with the ability to interact with senior management, technical subject matter experts, and business customers are essential in this role.· Ability to work on multiple initiatives and projects simultaneously.· Strong understanding of ITIL service support and service delivery.· Genuine desire to provide superior customer service.
