This includes processes such as advance gear analysis, non-contact metrology for aerospace, hybrid CMM inspection, advance analytics for quality. Candidate will perform multi-faceted assignments that contribute to the continuous improvement of the Quality Management System. Candidate will operate with minimal supervision while navigating an ambiguous environment.Internal interfaces with emerging programs and external interfaces with U.S. and international government agencies will be required.Job Responsibilities:

Ability to extract and interpret complex models for Catia V6 for use in Advanced Quality Planning Activities.

Establish best methods for efficient and repeatable set-up within an inspection environment for use by all levels and capabilities on the equipment.

Design and lead research projects that advance quality technologies related to rotorcraft metallic and composite components.

Interpretation of quality inspection results from high technology equipment, including but not limited to CMM, portable 3D scan systems, laser tracker, gear measurement machine, surface analyzers.

Utilize expert knowledge in GD&T to ensure accurate lay-out, inspection, and results.

Serve as a technical lead role in quality for a system or sub-system.

Perform Measurement System Analysis (MSA).

Provide technical expertise, for inspection to influence program design engineering throughout development of gear, case, shaft, rotating controls manufacturing, and composite manufacturing.

Support internal and external stakeholders including Design IPTs, Manufacturing, Program Management, Engineering Labs, Supply Chain Management, Suppliers, etc. with quality expertise.

Manage relationships with industry partners that support quality.

Lead and validate Corrective Action and Continuous Improvement Process efforts.

Represent Bell in industry committees and associations.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related engineering degree.

6 years related Quality experience.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products (Power Point, Access, Word and Excel).

Corrective Action / Continuous Improvement Methodology to include Statistical Analysis and Project Management techniques.

Experienced in interpreting, validating, and communicating GD&T requirements.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills required to interface with executive management and customer representatives.

Preferred:

Capable of part model extraction for programming using Catia V6.

Working knowledge of aerospace industry standards and specifications.

Strong Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, standards (AS9100 and/or ISO9001), and concepts.

Digital SPC systems and strategies.

Familiar with Zeiss Calyspo and or Hexagon PC-Dmis Software.

Familiar with machine parts and gear manufacturing and inspection techniques.

Performing and interpreting CMM inspections on rotorcraft components and assemblies.
