Kelly Services is actively recruiting for a R&D Technician for a Long Term Contract opportunity in Lake Jackson, TX.The candidate will assist a Technician in running medium-scale compounding equipment including twin screw extruders and all support equipment. Work includes, but is not limited to, sample preparation & weigh-up, compounding, and various testing of polymers using analytical equipment. Will also be expected to perform equipment clean up and daily housekeeping. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Candidate must be willing and able to wear required personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, ear plugs, side shield safety glasses, steel toed shoes and respirator. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Important skills include mechanical aptitude, math skills, attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, teamwork, organization, multi-tasking, computer skills, and reliability.
