Odyssey's Director of Recruiting is seeking a Recruiting Assistant to join the team! Please see full details below. This is an excellent opportunity to learn the IT Recruting, Staffing and Consulting industry and gain valuable training and insights in a one-on-one basis. This role will prepare you to transition into a full-time IT recruiter!
WHAT YOU’LL DO:- Support Director of Recruiting with daily tasks to include:
- Source IT Candidates, build out talent pipelines for specific skill sets.
- Write / post job descriptions to online job boards and social sites; create shareable media for marketing and referrals.
- Thoroughly evaluate candidates to check qualifications against job requirements.
- May provide prescreening support for surge recruitment efforts.
- Work to create candidate summaries, format and review resumes, assist with gathering information needed to present to clients, assist in scheduling interviews and help with onboarding candidates upon hire.
- Assist with entering correct candidate and job information/data into applicant tracking system and keeping updated.
- Provide follow up correspondence to candidates.
- Coordinate candidates travel and expenses when needed for interviews.
- Assist with other recruiting activities as needed.
- Help with checking in with contractors and coordinating lunches with those that are local.
- Assist in managing calendar.
- You will receive training in IT Recruitment and Sourcing including access to SourceCon Academy training – the best in the business (16 week online, self-paced course and certification).
- May need to assist Office Manager/Front Desk with formatting resumes or answering phones at times if they are unavailable.
- Must be reliable and dependable, able to follow directions and work independently.
- An understanding of the sense of urgency associated with recruiting.
- Ability to learn on the fly and multi-task with the best.

- Technical strengths:
- MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and MS Teams a plus
- Advanced research skills (Boolean search strings, etc) a plus!
