Report to: Operations Manager in Phoenix, AZ
Principle Purpose of Job:
The Facilities Manager is responsible for the overall operations in their specific branch.
Examples of Duties:
Accounts Receivable - maintain proper procedures for collecting field tickets. Entering field tickets into Scrap Dragon Recycling software. Work closely with Sales Manager to verify reports. Reconcile the petty cash drawer once a month
Inventory management - maintain proper levels of inventory, suggesting material needed for daily/bi-weekly truck(s), and participating in the truck order process, both ordering and receiving in trucks.
Work with facilities material breakdown teams to ensure daily breakdown metrics are hit
Conduct weekly meetings with both drivers and breakdown teams
Conduct monthly inventory
Process branch transfers as material is moved between branches.
Order and maintain sufficient supply of office/warehouse supplies.
Order and maintain service on rental trucks and forklifts
Help unload product trucks when required.
Assist the home office in running specific weekly reports such as the inbound and outbound material
Work with the sales and marketing representative for customers issues. Work with new customers to establish a good business relationship.
Maintain a high level of customer service at all times.
Human Resources - Assist the home office in hiring and interviewing warehouse/driver from 1-8 people. Assure proper procedures for disciplinary actions for branch personnel. Maintains proper new hire paperwork. Participates in the hiring process and termination of branch employee's as needed.
Scheduling - Assist in managing branch employee's payroll, vacation, and sick days to ensure the branch is adequately staffed at all times.
Additional duties as required.
Contacts:
The Operations Manager works closely with the home office and branch personnel to ensure branch operations run smoothly.
Supervision:
Operations Manager supervises the warehouse/driver personnel within their branch, usually 1-8 people.
Accountability:
Accountable for day-to-day branch operations within their branch to ensure the branch is running as effectively as possible.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed both in an office setting, warehouse setting and outside in the yard. Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Hearing and sight sufficient to work around forklifts and other typical warehouse equipment.
QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of recycling operations and management
Basic skills required to effectively manage personnel.
Knowledge of basic computer skills including word, email and excel
Ability to manage multiple functions at one time.
Ability to accurately perform mathematical calculations and prepare reports.
Ability to hold strict confidence.
Ability to maintain attention to detailed information.
Ability to effectively communicate and understand detailed and/or technical information.
Experience/Education:
Prefer two years' experience in a recycling setting, although not required. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Spanish-speaking preferred, but not required. Must possess a valid drivers license. Must pass background check

Basic understanding of warehouse operations, and safety rules
Must be able to lift 100 pounds
Willingness to operate a forklift and pallet jack
Willingness to do a pick up when required
Ability to send daily reports to home office
Ability to manage multiple functions at one time
Valid Driver's License and good driving record
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
