Regional Industrial Engineer At Pilgrim’s, Safety Is A Condition, which means the safety of our team members comes first - always.We have implemented safety measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We are working to ensure social distancing within our facility. We have installed physical barriers throughout our facility such as plexi-glass or plastic barriers between team member work stations. Each day, temperature screens are performed for each employee and visitor before entering the facility. Face coverings are provided and required over the mouth and nose at all times when inside the facility, and enhanced cleaning and sanitation is regularly performed.Responsibilities: Have to be able to communicate and work with all levels of plant personnel.

Have to be persistent and positive at all times. Have the ability to recognize and maneuver around obstacles to get the job done.

Innovations, new technology, improve design of existing systems.

Develop, install and maintain equitable standards. Work includes the establishment of the format to be used in the development of standards data, crewing guides, reconciliation reports, and the use of work-sampling techniques to resolve questions of operator utilization or performance.

Measures variances to standards, identifies out of control variances, investigates reasons, and suggests solutions, installs, and follows up.

Implement method improvements reducing cost of production and track to strive for budgeted goal.

Develops and maintains daily/weekly labor efficiency report.

Selects appropriate techniques of work measurement for and measure work contents of support labors. Installs standards, measures performance against standards.

Responsible for labor issues relative to RE/Workload management with Legal Department, UFCW, Wage and Hour.

Educates plant personnel on work measurements and assists corporate with labor initiatives.

Update and maintain predetermined time standards and video server.

Coordinate quarterly video server updates with all Pilgrim's locations.

Ability to travel up to 50% in order to oversee three plant locations.

Performs various other tasks as needed.

EVENTUAL ADDED RESPONSIBILITIES:

Participates at initiation phase of new production lines to assist in design for cost-effective manufacturing.

Prepare detailed layouts of plant facilities to optimize utilization and product flow.

EDUCATION: Four-year degree in business, engineering or related field. Strong background in Mathematics.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Exceptional computer skills experience with spreadsheet programs desirable.

EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in food industry beneficial.

Qualifications:

Predetermined time system experience beneficial but not required.

INTERNAL: Frequent communication with Complex Managers, Plant Managers, Superintendents and Supervisors concerning status of labor efficiency and projects.

EXTERNAL: Regular contact with Pilgrims management team at other facilities.
